How the price is worked out

  • Chargeable weight

    Carriers charge for the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is higher, rounded up to the carrier’s next weight bracket.

  • Service

    Each express option has its own price. The calculator lists them cheapest first.

  • Destination

    Prices depend on the destination country. Some remote areas have an extra carrier charge.

  • Documents or parcel

    Paper documents are priced differently from parcels of goods.

  • One price

    The price we quote is the price you pay. Nothing is added on top at the counter.

Volumetric weight

Volumetric weight (kg) = length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000.
Chargeable weight = the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight.

Example: a box of 40 × 30 × 20 cm has a volumetric weight of 24,000 ÷ 5000 = 4.8 kg. If it actually weighs 3 kg, the carrier charges for 4.8 kg, rounded up to its next bracket. A smaller box lowers the price for light items.
